Ivan Hrabec

Ivan Hrabec is the Mayor of the Village of Holden and serves as the Commissioner from that community. He was appointed to the board in November of 2004 and became Chairman in October of 2006. Ivan is an active member of the business community in Holden and is employed with Alta Gas. The Commission always appreciates the business perspective and Ivan brings that to the board. Ivan and his family are long time residents of the County and the Village of Holden.

Doug Schaffner

This is Doug's first term on the Commission. He became Vice-Chairman in October of 2006. He is the owner and manager of CE Franklin Continental Supply in Viking. He is a member of the Viking Fire department and a past member of the Sherwood Park Chamber of Commerce. Doug has 14 years of financial irnstitution experience and holds a Business Diploma from Red Deer College.

Bob Young

Bob Young was appointed to the Commission at the 2007 organizational meeting for Beaver County. Bob represents Division 1, Northwest of Tofield. Bob spent over 36 years with the Provincial Government in the Department of Sustainable Resource Development, Alberta Forest Service. Bob's environmental background will be a valuable asset to the Commission. Bob has also gained considerable renown as a model railroad aficionado. The Commission is pleased to welcome Bob to our team.

Nabil Chehayeb

Nabil was appointed to the Commission in October of 2006 from the Town of Tofield. Nabil is the Mayor of Tofield and a dynamic, visionary business owner. Businessmen are a valued asset to the Commission. Nabil is very interested in the success of the Commission.

Ivan Desjardine

IIvan DesJardine was appointed to the Commission as the representative from Ryley at their 2007 organizational meeting. Ivan is now retired after serving his full term with the City of Edmonton Transit Authority. Ivan was also very active as an executive representative to the Amalgamated Transit Union. Ivan's experiences will add a valuable dimension to the Commission's deliberations and we welcome him to the team. .
